AI-first development firms in the US

An AI-first development firm, in this guide, is one whose own pages put AI, data and models at the centre of what it sells. Six US firms fit that description: Quansight, Blend360, Aimpoint Digital, Fractal, Quantiphi and Artium. Reveneau and Fluxon come first, each described by what it says about its own work. Five of the six AI-first firms are in Anthropic's partner directory and two sell AI products of their own. Consulting.us reports that a larger firm bought one of them, one says in its own press release that it took a minority investment, and Outlook Money reports that one listed its shares on a stock exchange. Every fact was read on 21 October 2026.

Key takeaways

  • After Reveneau and Fluxon, the six AI-first firms in this guide are Quansight, Blend360, Aimpoint Digital, Fractal, Quantiphi and Artium.
  • Anthropic's directory lists five of the six: Fractal at the Preferred tier, and Blend360, Aimpoint Digital, Quantiphi and Artium at the Select tier. Quansight was not listed.
  • Fractal and Quantiphi sell AI products of their own beside their services, so ask whether your system will depend on one.
  • Consulting.us reported in August 2026 that AlixPartners had bought Artium. Outlook Money reported that Fractal's shares began trading in India on 16 February 2026. Blend360's own press release says Recognize made a minority investment in it in 2022.

Some firms build many kinds of software and add AI where it helps. Others put AI, data and models at the centre of what they sell, and this guide calls those AI-first firms. Six of them have a US office and appear here: Quansight, Blend360, Aimpoint Digital, Fractal, Quantiphi and Artium. They differ in size, from Artium, which has more than 80 employees listed on LinkedIn according to Consulting.us, to Fractal, which counts "6,000+" staff on its own homepage.

Reveneau and Fluxon come first, as on every page of this guide. Each is described only by what it says about its own work, so you can see for yourself how each fits beside the six firms below. Every page used here was read on 21 October 2026.

Reveneau

Reveneau lists offices at 435 Utah Street in San Francisco and on Floor 33, 909 Mainland Street, in Vancouver. Reveneau says AI writes 100 percent of its code. It says each change has to pass a large eval suite, a set of automated tests written from the project's specification, before it is released. Reveneau says Jev, the model that grades the suite, makes the suite run ten times faster than its previous grader did. It says it uses AI in place of hiring more engineers, and that it puts that saving into its clients' prices. It says it takes responsibility for the whole project through production and after release. Anthropic's directory did not list Reveneau when its 321 entries were searched on 20 October 2026 [1]. Its AI development service page describes the work.

Fluxon

Fluxon's AI development page says the hard part of an AI project is "everything around the model: evaluation, integration, security, and adoption", and a heading on the page reads "Forward-deployed by default." [16] The same page says its people use the same channels and the same daily meetings as the client. Its homepage lists AI products and agents among its services. Forbes's company page, with figures as of March 2026, lists 200 employees and a San Francisco headquarters [17], and Fluxon's careers page says "300+ builders" [18]. Anthropic's directory did not list Fluxon on 21 October 2026 [1].

Quansight

Quansight gives an Austin address, 8656 W. Hwy 71, Bldg F200, in its site footer. Its about page says Travis Oliphant founded it, and that "More than half of our full-time technical staff are active contributors to open source data projects." [3] Open-source projects are programs whose code anyone may read, change and share. Its AI engineering page offers environments for "generative AI pre-training, optimization, distillation or fine-tuning", the steps used to train an AI model and adjust it to a task. The page also offers the running of work across several models or agents, and the deployment of the software that runs AI models, including systems that answer from a company's own documents [2]. The about page calls Quansight one of the largest contributors to the PyTorch project, an open-source tool for building AI models, and that is Quansight's own claim. Apart from the directory search, every fact in this entry comes from Quansight's own pages. Quansight was not in Anthropic's directory on 21 October 2026 [1].

Blend360

Blend360 lists its office at 10221 Wincopin Circle, 3rd Floor, Columbia, Maryland [4]. Its homepage says it finds where AI is worth doing, builds the business case, and orders the work so that results come early. Its about page says the company launched in the summer of 2015, shows "1000+ Employees", and says "75% of our revenue comes from Fortune 500 companies" [5]. A Blend360 press release from 9 August 2022 says Recognize made a $100 million minority investment in it, meaning Recognize took a share of less than half of the company [6]. Blend360's own text in Anthropic's directory gives "1,500+ people" and "500+ forward deployed AI engineers", so its two staff counts disagree. Anthropic lists Blend360 at the Select tier [1]. Its homepage says it was "Recognized by Anthropic" for moving Claude into production for clients, which is Blend360's own claim; the directory shows the Select tier and nothing more. Apart from the tier, every fact here comes from Blend360's own pages.

Aimpoint Digital

Aimpoint Digital lists its main office at 7000 Central Pkwy, Suite #1700, Atlanta, and names Boston, London and Medellín. Its about page says it began in 2017 [8]. Its AI page says it will "Design and build enterprise AI solutions, including intelligent agents, multi-agent systems, RAG, and customized models to automate workflows and solve complex business challenges." [7] RAG, short for retrieval-augmented generation, is a way to make an AI model answer from a company's own documents. The same page calls its approach "evaluation-first", and offers a four-week starting engagement that includes a design of the future system and a roadmap. Databricks named Aimpoint Digital its Digital Native Partner of the Year in its 2024 partner awards [9]. Databricks sells a data platform and runs those awards for firms that build on it, so it has a business interest in the firms it names. Anthropic lists Aimpoint Digital at the Select tier [1].

Fractal

Fractal lists its global headquarters at Suite 76J, One World Trade Center, New York, and offices in Bellevue, Washington, and Palo Alto, California. Its homepage says it helps organizations around the world change their critical business functions, using AI, strong foundations for AI, and work on how people take it up. It counts "6,000+ Fractalites", its word for its staff [10]. Outlook Money reported that Fractal Analytics shares listed at Rs 876 each on India's National Stock Exchange on 16 February 2026, "a 2.67% discount to issue price", the price at which the shares were first sold [11]. Fractal also sells AI products of its own, among them Cogentiq and LLM Studio. Its text in Anthropic's directory calls it "a publicly listed global enterprise AI services and solutions company", and Anthropic lists it at the Preferred tier [1].

Quantiphi

Quantiphi lists US offices in Marlborough, Massachusetts, under the heading Boston, and in Princeton, New Jersey, and San Jose, California. Its homepage says it builds "specialized agents" for large companies [12]. In its own press release of 25 August 2026, issued from Marlborough and hosted on Google Cloud's press site, Quantiphi says it was named a launch partner for Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, a Google Cloud product, and that it will build agent workflows for banks and other financial firms [13]. The same release says Quantiphi began in 2013 and has won 21 Google Cloud Partner of the Year awards, a count this guide could not check, and it quotes a Google Cloud vice president praising Quantiphi. Google is Quantiphi's commercial partner, and the quote sits inside Quantiphi's own release. Quantiphi also sells products of its own, among them baioniq, Codeaira and Dociphi. Anthropic lists Quantiphi at the Select tier [1].

Artium

Artium gives no office address on its own pages. Consulting.us reported on 6 August 2026 that AlixPartners, a management consulting firm based in New York, had bought Artium, and described Artium as a Los Angeles-based firm that builds AI agents for clients and started in 2019 [14]. The same report says "Artium will operate as a distinct team within AlixPartners, and will maintain its founders and staff, methodology, and lab relationships", and that Artium has more than 80 employees listed on LinkedIn. Artium's homepage says it builds and launches AI agents made for large companies, with a focus on safety and on return on investment, meaning the money a project earns or saves for what it costs [15]. Anthropic lists it as Artium AI at the Select tier [1].

Firms that also sell their own AI products

Fractal and Quantiphi each sell AI products beside their services. If a firm builds your system on its own product, that product becomes part of your system, with its own price and its own owner.

Before you sign with a firm that sells its own product, ask four things. Will my system depend on your product, or can it run without it? What does the product cost each year, and who sets the price after the first year? If I stop paying, what happens to the system and to my data? Can my own team, or another firm, maintain the code without your product? The memo that the White House budget office sent federal agencies in 2025 asks them, in general, to write requirements such as "clear data and model portability practices" and "pricing transparency" into their requests for AI proposals. Those requirements cover the same questions.

What tiers, awards and press releases tell you

Five of the six AI-first firms appear in Anthropic's directory. Anthropic sets each partner's tier, and each partner writes the one-line description beside its name. The directory held 321 entries on 21 October 2026: 256 at the Select tier, 40 at Preferred, 16 at Global Premier and 9 with no tier [1]. The pages read for this guide did not state what each tier requires.

Aimpoint Digital's award comes from Databricks, a platform company that earns money when its partners sell its product. Quantiphi's Gemini news comes from its own press release, even though the release sits on Google Cloud's press site. Blend360's "Recognized by Anthropic" line is its own homepage claim. Each of these tells you how the firm presents itself and how a platform company presents the firm. To learn how a firm works on your problem, give it a small paid task on your own data.

When an AI-first firm fits

An AI-first firm fits a buyer whose main need is the AI itself: models, data, agents or the tests that measure them. Aimpoint Digital's site menu lists services for Databricks and Snowflake users, two platforms for storing and working with large amounts of data. Quansight names open-source Python tools. Fractal and Quantiphi offer products as well as services. Artium names agents and training for a client's own engineers. Blend360 names strategy, data, AI engineering and adoption.

If you need a full product, with design, screens and a launch, read AI product studios in the US. If you need strategy and systems work across a large company, read large consultancies with an AI practice. To compare all three kinds, read which type of AI development firm to hire.

Common questions

What is an AI-first development firm?

In this guide, an AI-first firm is one whose own pages put AI, data and models at the centre of what it sells. Its staff work mainly on models, data systems, agents and the tests that measure them. Six US firms fit that description: Quansight, Blend360, Aimpoint Digital, Fractal, Quantiphi and Artium. Each one names a US office on its own pages or in a news report.

Who made a minority investment in Blend360?

Recognize did. A Blend360 press release dated 9 August 2022 says it received a $100 million minority investment from Recognize. A minority investment means the investor bought less than half of the company. The release is Blend360's own, and two news articles about the deal refused requests when this guide tried to read them on 21 October 2026.

Where are Fractal's shares traded?

In India. Outlook Money reported that Fractal Analytics shares listed on the National Stock Exchange on 16 February 2026 at Rs 876 each, a 2.67 percent discount to the price at which they were first sold. Fractal lists its global headquarters at One World Trade Center in New York, and its site footer names Fractal Analytics Inc.

What did Quantiphi announce with Google Cloud in August 2026?

In its own press release of 25 August 2026, Quantiphi said it had been named a launch partner for Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, a Google Cloud product, and would build agent workflows for financial firms. The release also says Quantiphi has won 21 Google Cloud Partner of the Year awards. That count could not be checked on 21 October 2026.

What does Blend360 mean by Recognized by Anthropic?

Blend360's homepage says it was recognized by Anthropic for moving Claude from pilots into production for large clients. This guide found no Anthropic page that says so. Anthropic's partner directory, read on 21 October 2026, lists Blend360 at the Select tier and shows nothing more. Ask Blend360 which Anthropic page or award the line refers to.

What does evaluation-first mean at Aimpoint Digital?

Aimpoint Digital's AI page describes its approach as value-driven and evaluation-first, and says this means AI products are designed for production from the first day. Evaluation is the work of testing an AI system's answers against examples and scoring them. Ask Aimpoint which examples it would use for your project and whether you keep the tests afterwards.

What open-source work does Quansight describe?

Quansight's about page says Travis Oliphant founded it and that more than half of its full-time technical staff are active contributors to open-source data projects. It also calls Quansight one of the largest contributors to PyTorch, an open-source tool for building AI models, which is its own claim. Its AI engineering page offers model tuning, agent workflows and deployment work.

How many people work at Artium?

Consulting.us reported that Artium has more than 80 employees listed on LinkedIn when it reported on 6 August 2026 that AlixPartners had bought Artium. That is a count of LinkedIn profiles, and Artium's own pages give no staff figure. Consulting.us also reported that Artium will keep its founders and staff and work as a distinct team inside AlixPartners.

Why is Quansight the one AI-first firm here without an Anthropic listing?

Anthropic's partner directory had no Quansight entry when all 321 entries were searched on 21 October 2026. Blend360, Aimpoint Digital, Fractal, Quantiphi and Artium were all listed. The pages read for this guide give no reason. Ask Quansight, or any firm, which AI models it works with and how.

What does Fluxon's AI development page offer?

Fluxon's AI development page offers AI products and systems for companies, and says the hard part of an AI project is everything around the model: evaluation, integration, security and adoption. A heading reads Forward-deployed by default, and the page says its people use the same channels and daily meetings as the client. Forbes lists 200 Fluxon employees as of March 2026, and Fluxon's careers page says 300+ builders.

How can a buyer check a firm's partner awards?

Open the awarding company's own winners list for the exact year and look for the firm's name. Databricks' 2024 awards list names Aimpoint Digital, Slalom, and pairs including Cognizant and LTIMindTree. Then remember who gives the award: a platform company earns money when its partners sell its product, so its award shows praise from a partner.

AI product studios in the US

A product studio designs and builds a software product for a client with one team that covers research, design and engineering. This guide lists five US studios that describe AI work on their own pages: Atomic Object, 8th Light, Viget, Think Company and MojoTech. Reveneau and Fluxon come first, described by what each says about its own work. For all five studios, every fact comes from the firm's own website or press release, because no independent source was found for any of them on 21 October 2026.

Large consultancies with an AI practice

A large consultancy sells strategy, systems work and staff across many kinds of projects, and an AI practice is the team inside it that does AI work. This guide lists six with US offices: Booz Allen Hamilton, EPAM Systems, West Monroe, Cognizant, Accenture and Slalom. Reveneau and Fluxon come first, described by what each says about its own work. Four of the six are public companies, so their head offices and staff counts come from annual reports filed with the SEC. Every fact was read on 21 October 2026.

Which type of AI development firm to hire

The nineteen firms in this guide fall into three kinds after Reveneau and Fluxon: product studios, AI-first firms and large consultancies. The right kind depends on five things about your project: whether you know what to build, whether the AI is the main job, how many people you need, where they must work, and what you need to be able to check. This page asks those five questions, matches each answer to the firms whose own pages describe that work, and ends with a test you can run before you sign.
