Large consultancies with an AI practice

A large consultancy sells strategy, systems work and staff across many kinds of projects, and an AI practice is the team inside it that does AI work. This guide lists six with US offices: Booz Allen Hamilton, EPAM Systems, West Monroe, Cognizant, Accenture and Slalom. Reveneau and Fluxon come first, described by what each says about its own work. Four of the six are public companies, so their head offices and staff counts come from annual reports filed with the SEC. Every fact was read on 21 October 2026.

A large consultancy sells advice, systems work and engineering staff across many kinds of projects. A practice is a team inside such a firm that specialises in one type of work, and every firm on this page describes an AI practice. The six in this guide are Booz Allen Hamilton, EPAM Systems, West Monroe, Cognizant, Accenture and Slalom.

Reveneau and Fluxon come first. Each is described by what it says about its own work, so you can see for yourself how each fits beside a large consultancy. Every page used here was read on 21 October 2026.

Four of the six are public companies. A US public company must file an annual report called a Form 10-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the federal agency that oversees the share markets. The report is the company's own statement, made formally to a regulator, and this page uses it for head offices and staff counts.

Reveneau

Reveneau lists offices at 435 Utah Street in San Francisco and on Floor 33, 909 Mainland Street, in Vancouver. Reveneau says AI writes 100 percent of its code. It says each change must pass a large eval suite, a set of automated tests written from the project's specification, before release, and that Jev, the model that grades the suite, makes it run ten times faster than its previous grader did. It says it uses AI in place of hiring more engineers and puts that saving into its clients' prices. It says it takes responsibility for the whole project through production and after release. Anthropic's directory did not list Reveneau when it was searched on 20 October 2026 [1]. Reveneau publishes its own comparison with a large engineering consultancy, and its AI development service page describes the work.

Fluxon

Fluxon's enterprise page says, "We build in your stack and follow your standards. What we leave behind should feel like your own." [23] A stack is the set of software tools a company's systems are built on. Its homepage lists services from technology and AI strategy to platforms and core systems, and names enterprises among its three buyer groups. Forbes's company page, with figures as of March 2026, lists 200 employees [21], and Fluxon's careers page says "300+ builders" [22]. Anthropic's directory did not list Fluxon on 21 October 2026 [1].

Booz Allen Hamilton

Booz Allen's Form 10-K for the year ended 31 March 2026 gives its headquarters as 8283 Greensboro Drive, McLean, Virginia, and says it plans to move the headquarters to Reston, Virginia, in the fall of 2027 [2]. The filing gives its staff on 31 March 2026 as 31,500 people "across the U.S. and select global regions", a count it marks as approximate. It describes Booz Allen as "the federal government’s largest AI provider", which is the company's own claim. Its AI page says it develops, deploys and maintains what it calls "mission-critical AI systems", meaning systems that a mission cannot run without [3]. Its office page lists Washington, DC, Arlington, Atlanta and Aurora, Colorado, among others [4]. In 2020, Intelligence Community News reported the company's own announcement of a five-year, $800 million contract to provide AI services to the Department of Defense's Joint AI Center [5]. That report is six years old and repeats the company's words. The Defense Post reported on 2 July 2026 that "Booz Allen Hamilton and OpenAI are expanding their collaboration to bring frontier artificial intelligence closer to real-world defense missions." [6] Frontier AI means the newest and most capable AI models. Booz Allen was not in Anthropic's directory on 21 October 2026 [1].

EPAM Systems

EPAM's Form 10-K for 2025 gives its principal executive offices as 41 University Drive, Suite 202, Newtown, Pennsylvania, and says it was incorporated in Delaware on 18 December 2002 after a predecessor company founded in 1993 [7]. It gives its staff on 31 December 2025 as 62,850 employees, marked as approximate. The filing says EPAM's ability to build complete AI systems sets it apart as companies move AI from tests into daily use, which is the company's own claim. It names India as its largest delivery location in 2025, counted by delivery staff, and calls Ukraine a significant delivery location. Databricks gave its 2024 Disruption Partner of the Year award to "Infosys | EPAM" [20]. Anthropic lists EPAM at the Preferred tier [1]. EPAM's main website refused automated requests on 21 October 2026, so this entry relies on the filing.

West Monroe

West Monroe lists nine US offices, with its Chicago office at 311 W Monroe St, 14th Floor [9]. Consulting.us describes it as "a Chicago-headquartered management and technology consulting firm" [10]. It reported that West Monroe bought 2050 Partners, an energy efficiency consulting firm based in the Bay Area, and its headline of 19 September 2025 reads "West Monroe hires Bret Greenstein as chief AI officer". West Monroe's AI page says it brings AI strategy and the rollout of AI together, so a client can redesign how work is done [8]. The page offers its own agent product, Intellio Agent, to find business processes worth changing, redesign them around AI and "move quickly from plan to production." The pages read for this guide give no staff count or owner for West Monroe. It was not in Anthropic's directory on 21 October 2026 [1].

Cognizant

Cognizant's Form 10-K for 2025 places its worldwide headquarters in a leased building in Teaneck, New Jersey, and its cover page gives the address as 300 Frank W. Burr Blvd. [11] The filing gives its staff on 31 December 2025 as 351,600, marked as approximate, with 256,900 in India, 41,600 in North America, 14,600 in continental Europe, 7,800 in the United Kingdom and 30,700 elsewhere. Its AI builder page says Cognizant builds custom AI agent systems and services for each client, using what it knows about the client's industry and business [12]. That page names Barry Callebaut, Veidekke and Kantar in its case studies. Computerworld, citing The Wall Street Journal, reported, "The deal makes Cognizant one of Anthropic’s three largest enterprise customers." [13] Anthropic's own announcement of 4 November 2025 says "Cognizant will make Claude available to 350,000 employees" [14]. Anthropic wrote that announcement as one side of the deal. Databricks gave its 2024 Transformation Partner of the Year award to "Cognizant | LTIMindTree" [20]. Anthropic lists Cognizant at the Global Premier tier [1].

Accenture

Accenture plc is a public company. Its Form 10-K for the year ended 31 August 2026, filed on 16 October 2026, gives its principal executive offices in Dublin, Ireland, and says it has major offices in leading business centres "including Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco" [15]. It gives its staff on 31 August 2026 as 814,000, marked as approximate, and says, "At the end of fiscal 2026, we had nearly 110,000 skilled AI and data practitioners". It describes "Advanced AI and Data Centers on a global scale" that develop and deploy AI solutions. Accenture's own text in Anthropic's directory gives a different staff count: "779,000 talented people". Anthropic's announcement of 9 December 2025, written as one side of the deal, says, "Accenture and Anthropic are forming the Accenture Anthropic Business Group", a dedicated practice built around Claude [16]. Databricks gave its 2024 Global Partner of the Year award to "Accenture | Avanade" [20]. Anthropic lists Accenture at the Global Premier tier [1].

Slalom

Slalom says on its Seattle page that Seattle is where it began, and that the office "has grown to over 1,000 people" [19]. Its company page lists "54 Local offices" [18]. Its AI page says, "We work with you to identify high-value use cases, deploy AI solutions, and operate them with clear accountability for outcomes." [17] A use case is one specific task that AI could do for the business. Databricks named Slalom its 2024 Healthcare and Life Sciences Partner of the Year [20]. Anthropic lists it as Slalom Consulting at the Preferred tier [1]. The Slalom pages read for this guide give no total staff count.

What an annual report tells you, and its limits

A Form 10-K is where a public company states its basic facts each year: where its head office is, how many people it employs, where they work and how its business is changing. The company writes it and signs it, and it reaches investors and regulators. So it is still the company's own statement. Claims such as "largest AI provider" in Booz Allen's filing are the company's description of itself.

Each of the four filings marks its staff count as approximate. When you compare two firms' sizes, compare the counts as the filings give them, with their dates: 31 March 2026 for Booz Allen, 31 December 2025 for EPAM and Cognizant, and 31 August 2026 for Accenture.

Deals with AI model makers

For three of the six firms, a public source read for this guide describes a deal with a company that makes AI models. Anthropic announced a partnership with Cognizant on 4 November 2025 and with Accenture on 9 December 2025 [14] [16]. The Defense Post reported Booz Allen's expanding work with OpenAI in July 2026 [6]. Each deal is public information, and Anthropic's two announcements come from one side of each deal.

A firm with a deal like this works closely with one maker of AI models. Ask any firm with such a deal three things. Which models will you test for my task, and will you show me the results for each? If a different model suits my task, will you use it? If I want to change models later, how much of the system has to change?

When a large consultancy fits

A large consultancy fits a buyer who needs many people at once, work in many countries, or strategy and systems work joined to the AI build. Booz Allen describes mostly federal government customers. Cognizant's filing places most of its staff in India, and EPAM's names India as its largest delivery location. West Monroe and Slalom describe consulting and AI rollout with offices in many US cities. Accenture describes a global practice of AI and data staff.

Ask who will work on your project, how senior they are and where they sit, and write their names or roles into the contract. If your project is a single product with a small team, read AI product studios in the US. If the AI itself is the main job, read AI-first development firms in the US. For enterprise buyers, Reveneau also describes how it works on its enterprise page.

Common questions

What does a large consultancy with an AI practice offer?

A large consultancy sells strategy, systems work and engineering staff across many kinds of projects, and its AI practice is the team that does AI work. In this guide, Booz Allen Hamilton, EPAM Systems, West Monroe, Cognizant, Accenture and Slalom fit that description. Each describes AI work for clients on its own pages or in its annual report.

How many people does Accenture employ?

Two counts exist. Accenture's Form 10-K, filed on 16 October 2026, gives 814,000 people on 31 August 2026 and marks that number as approximate. Accenture's own text in Anthropic's partner directory, read on 21 October 2026, says 779,000. The filing also says Accenture had nearly 110,000 skilled AI and data practitioners at the end of fiscal 2026.

Where do most of Cognizant's staff work?

In India. Cognizant's Form 10-K for 2025 gives 351,600 employees on 31 December 2025, a total it marks as approximate, with 256,900 in India, 41,600 in North America, 14,600 in continental Europe and 7,800 in the United Kingdom. Its worldwide headquarters is in Teaneck, New Jersey. Ask Cognizant where the team for your project would work.

What is Booz Allen's relationship with OpenAI?

The Defense Post reported on 2 July 2026 that Booz Allen Hamilton and OpenAI are expanding their collaboration to bring frontier AI closer to real defense missions. Frontier AI means the newest and most capable AI models. Booz Allen was not in Anthropic's partner directory on 21 October 2026. Its annual report calls it the federal government's largest AI provider, which is its own claim.

What is the Accenture Anthropic Business Group?

Anthropic announced on 9 December 2025 that Accenture and Anthropic are forming the Accenture Anthropic Business Group, a dedicated practice inside Accenture built around Claude. The announcement says this makes Anthropic one of Accenture's select strategic partners. Anthropic is one side of the deal, so the announcement is its own account. Anthropic's directory lists Accenture at the Global Premier tier.

What did Computerworld report about Cognizant and Anthropic?

Computerworld, citing The Wall Street Journal, reported that a deal with Anthropic makes Cognizant one of Anthropic's three largest enterprise customers. Anthropic's own announcement of 4 November 2025 says Cognizant will make Claude available to 350,000 employees. So Cognizant both buys Claude for its own staff and appears in Anthropic's partner directory at the Global Premier tier.

Where is EPAM's US head office?

EPAM's Form 10-K for 2025 gives its principal executive offices as 41 University Drive, Suite 202, Newtown, Pennsylvania, in the Philadelphia metro area. The filing says EPAM was incorporated in Delaware in 2002 after a predecessor founded in 1993, and gives 62,850 employees on 31 December 2025, a number it marks as approximate. The filing names India as its largest delivery location in 2025.

Whom did West Monroe hire as chief AI officer?

A Consulting.us headline of 19 September 2025 reports that West Monroe hired Bret Greenstein as chief AI officer. This guide did not check whether he holds the role today. Consulting.us describes West Monroe as a Chicago-headquartered management and technology consulting firm. West Monroe's own AI page offers AI strategy and rollout together, using its own agent product, Intellio Agent. Ask who would lead the AI work on your project.

Is Booz Allen moving its headquarters?

Yes, according to its own annual report. Booz Allen's Form 10-K for the year ended 31 March 2026 gives its headquarters as 8283 Greensboro Drive, McLean, Virginia, and says the company plans to move its headquarters to Reston, Virginia, in the fall of 2027. Both places are in the Washington metro area. Its office page lists several more offices.

How does Slalom describe its AI service?

Slalom's AI page says it works with clients to identify high-value uses for AI, deploy AI solutions and operate them with clear accountability for outcomes. Its company page lists 54 local offices, and its Seattle page says that office has grown to over 1,000 people. Databricks named Slalom its 2024 Healthcare and Life Sciences Partner of the Year.

What does a Form 10-K tell a buyer about a consultancy?

A Form 10-K is the annual report a US public company files with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It gives the head office, the staff count, where staff work and how the business is changing, in the company's own formal words. Booz Allen, EPAM, Cognizant and Accenture each file one. Claims inside it, such as being the largest in a field, are still the company's own.

AI product studios in the US

A product studio designs and builds a software product for a client with one team that covers research, design and engineering. This guide lists five US studios that describe AI work on their own pages: Atomic Object, 8th Light, Viget, Think Company and MojoTech. Reveneau and Fluxon come first, described by what each says about its own work. For all five studios, every fact comes from the firm's own website or press release, because no independent source was found for any of them on 21 October 2026.

AI-first development firms in the US

An AI-first development firm, in this guide, is one whose own pages put AI, data and models at the centre of what it sells. Six US firms fit that description: Quansight, Blend360, Aimpoint Digital, Fractal, Quantiphi and Artium. Reveneau and Fluxon come first, each described by what it says about its own work. Five of the six AI-first firms are in Anthropic's partner directory and two sell AI products of their own. Consulting.us reports that a larger firm bought one of them, one says in its own press release that it took a minority investment, and Outlook Money reports that one listed its shares on a stock exchange. Every fact was read on 21 October 2026.

Which type of AI development firm to hire

The nineteen firms in this guide fall into three kinds after Reveneau and Fluxon: product studios, AI-first firms and large consultancies. The right kind depends on five things about your project: whether you know what to build, whether the AI is the main job, how many people you need, where they must work, and what you need to be able to check. This page asks those five questions, matches each answer to the firms whose own pages describe that work, and ends with a test you can run before you sign.
