Replace a paid AI service with one you own.
You pay an AI vendor by the month, by the seat or by use, and the bill grows with your business. We set up an open-source replacement on your own servers, connect it to your product, and build the software around it. At the end the servers, the data and the code are yours.
From a monthly bill to a system you own.
Licence checked first
We read the licence of the code and of the model files before anything is installed.
On your hardware
Machines you own, or machines you rent in your own account.
Your code keeps working
Where the project accepts the same requests as the paid service, one address changes. Where it does not, we write the connecting code.
Tested side by side
The paid service and the replacement run on your own work, and you compare before you switch.
The product around it
We build the software that uses the server: the product, the staff screens, the reports.
Yours to run
Code, setup files, instructions and automatic checks, handed to your team.
Many products run on a paid AI service: a voice vendor, a model vendor, a chat tool, an automation tool. The service is quick to start with. Later the bill grows with every customer you add, your data sits on another company's servers, and a price change or a retired feature is outside your control.
For many of these services an open-source project now does the same job. Our open-source directory lists them by paid tool, with each project's licence and figures read from GitHub. Finding the project is the short part of the work. This page is about the rest.
What we do
Choose the project and read its licence. Some projects are open source in the full sense. Some let you read the code and limit what a business may do with it. Some publish the trained model files under terms that differ from the code. We check which kind you are getting before anything is installed, because the licence decides whether you may sell what you build on it.
Set it up on your hardware. On machines you own, or on machines you rent in your own account. If the work needs a GPU, we tell you which kind before you buy one.
Connect it to your product. Where the open project accepts the same requests as the paid service, your current code keeps working after one address changes. Where it does not, we write the connecting code.
Test it on your real work. We run the paid service and the replacement side by side on examples from your product, and you compare the results before you switch. If the replacement is worse for your use, you see it before a customer does.
Build the software around it. The server is one part. The product that calls it, the screens your staff use, the reports and the billing are the rest, and we build those too. Building software is Reveneau's main work.
What you have at the end
- The replacement running on servers you control.
- Your data on your own machines.
- The code, the setup files and the instructions to run it without us.
- A set of automatic checks, written from the agreed description of what the system must do, that your team can run after every change.
How we build
AI writes 100% of our code, and every change has to pass a large set of automatic checks written from the specification before it is released. We use AI in place of hiring more engineers, so the same build takes a small team, and that saving goes into your price.
When the paid service is the better choice
Keep paying when your use is small and the bill does not trouble you. Keep paying when nobody on your side will look after a server and you do not want us to. Keep paying when the paid service has something no open project has yet. Every alternatives page in our directory has a section on where the paid tool still wins, and we will say so on the first call if that is your case.
What we cannot show you
Reveneau is new. We have no client testimonials and no list of finished projects to point to, and we will not invent them. What we offer in their place is the licence check in writing, a side-by-side test on your own work before you switch, and checks your team can run after we leave.
Where to start
- Your own AI model server, if you pay a model vendor for every request.
- Your own company chat assistant, if you pay a seat for every person.
- Your own search over company documents, if you pay for answers from your own files.
- Your own automation platform, if you pay for every task.
- Your own voice AI, if you pay for every character spoken or minute heard.
- Your own AI coding tools, if you pay a seat for every engineer.

Common questions
Can Reveneau replace a paid AI service with software on our own servers?
Yes. Reveneau replaces a paid AI service by choosing an open-source project that does the same job, checking its licence, setting it up on your hardware, connecting it to your product, and testing it beside the paid service on your own work. The same team then builds or changes the software around it, so the work ends with a running product.
Which paid AI services can be replaced with open-source software?
Our open-source directory lists replacements by paid tool, in categories that include voice, model services, chat assistants, company search, automation and coding assistants. Each alternatives page names the projects, their licences, and where the paid tool still wins. If your service is missing from the directory, write to us and name it, and we will tell you whether a project exists that does the same job.
Will our current code keep working after we leave the paid service?
It depends on the project. Several open projects accept the same requests as the paid service they replace, and in that case your code keeps working after the address it calls is changed. Where the formats differ, Reveneau writes connecting code so the rest of your product stays as it is. We check this for your service before any work starts.
Do we need to buy a GPU to run AI on our own servers?
It depends on the job. A large language model that many people use at the same moment needs a GPU. Automation tools and chat screens that call a model elsewhere run on an ordinary server. Reveneau tells you which hardware your case needs before you buy anything, and the same setup can run on a rented machine in your own account.
Is open-source AI software free for a business to use?
Many projects are, and some carry limits. A project can be open source in the full sense, can let you read the code while limiting business use, or can publish its model files under separate terms. Our directory marks each project as one of these three kinds. Reveneau reads the licence for your exact use before setup, because selling a product built on a restricted licence can break its terms.
Who looks after the system once it is running on our servers?
You choose. Reveneau hands over the code, the setup files, written instructions and a set of automatic checks, so your own team can run and change the system. If you prefer, we keep looking after it under a separate agreement that covers updates, security fixes and monitoring. In both cases the servers and the accounts are in your name from the first day.
How do we know the open-source replacement is as good as the paid service?
You test it on your own work before you switch. Reveneau runs the paid service and the open-source replacement side by side on real examples from your product, and you compare the results. We make no claim in advance that an open project is better or faster than the paid tool, because that depends on your use, your language and your hardware.
When should we keep paying for the AI service?
Keep the paid service when your use is small and the bill is not a problem, when nobody will look after a server, or when the service offers something no open project offers yet. Each alternatives page in our directory has a section on where the paid tool still wins. Reveneau tells you on the first call if staying is the better choice for you.
Other services

You pay a model vendor for every request your product makes. We set up an open language model on your own machines, give it the request format your code already uses, and test it on your real work before you switch.
Your own company chat assistant, in place of a seat for every person.
You pay a monthly seat for every person who uses a chat assistant. We set up an open-source chat assistant on your own servers, with your company sign-in, and connect it to the models you choose.
Your own search over company documents, on servers you control.
You pay for a tool that searches your company's files and answers questions from them. We set up an open-source replacement on your own servers, connect it to where your documents live, and keep each person's view limited to what they are allowed to see.
Your own automation platform, in place of a bill for every task.
You pay an automation service for every task it runs, and the automations your business depends on live in someone else's account. We set up an open-source automation platform on your own servers and rebuild your automations on it.
Your own voice AI: speech, transcripts and phone agents on your servers.
You pay a voice service for every character it speaks or every minute it listens. We set up open-source speech models on your own hardware, connect them to your product or your phone system, and test them in your language before you switch.
Your own AI coding tools, with your code kept on your machines.
You pay a seat for every engineer who uses an AI coding assistant, and parts of your source code are sent to the vendor with each request. We set up open-source coding tools for your team, connected to a model you choose, including one on your own servers.
