European FDE firms and US firms with European offices

The seventeen firms in this guide use the words forward deployed, or describe engineers placed inside a client's team, on their own pages, in job ads or in directory text. They differ in where the company is based. This page sorts them into three groups and shows what a buyer can check about each one. Every page used here was read on 21 October 2026.

The group tells you where the company is based and registered, and which country's courts and rules apply to the company itself. Ask each firm where its engineers would work, and which company will sign your contract, because a firm can sign through a company in another country.

Firms based in North America

Reveneau

Reveneau's offices are at 435 Utah Street in San Francisco and on Floor 33, 909 Mainland Street, in Vancouver. It lists no office in Europe, so a European buyer should agree in writing on the hours its engineers will keep and how often they will travel. Reveneau offers forward deployed engineers. By its own account, AI writes 100 percent of its code, and every change has to pass a large eval suite before release. Reveneau says the suite is a set of automated tests written from the specification, and that Jev grades it and makes it run ten times faster than its previous grader did. It says it uses AI in place of hiring more engineers and puts that saving into its clients' prices, and that it takes responsibility for the whole project through production and after release. Anthropic's directory did not list Reveneau on 20 October 2026, when all 321 entries were searched [1].

Fluxon

Forbes gives Fluxon's headquarters as San Francisco and its staff as 200 employees, as of March 2026 [15]. Fluxon's own careers page says "300+ builders", says the company is 100 percent remote, and listed roles located in Poland and Portugal on 21 October 2026 [14]. No Fluxon page read for this guide names a European office. Its AI development page says its work is "Forward-deployed by default."

Firms based in Europe

A national company register is the official list of companies in a country. It shows a company's legal name, its registered address and the date it was created or entered. A register entry is independent of the firm, so it is stronger evidence than the firm's own site. This guide opened registers in Poland, France and the UK.

Two of these firms have a larger owner or backer. Companies House shows Accenture plc with 75 percent or more of the shares of Faculty Science Limited, notified on 12 March 2026 [7]. Devoteam was taken off the Paris stock exchange in 2021 by its founding shareholders, with KKR, a US private equity firm, funding a major part of it, as Consultancy.eu reported in 2023. US firms that name a European office

Grid Dynamics

Grid Dynamics' contact page gives its global headquarters as San Ramon, California. It also labels an address at Oberallmendstrasse 18, Zug, Switzerland, as "Headquarter", and lists sites in the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, Germany, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine and Moldova [9]. Street addresses appear for London, Wormerveer in the Netherlands, Zug, Warsaw and Dresden, among others. Its shares trade on the Nasdaq exchange in New York.

Distyl AI

Distyl AI's about page lists New York, San Francisco and London as its locations, with no street address [10]. Crunchbase News called Distyl a San Francisco-based startup in September 2025 [11]. This guide found no other source for its London office.

Tribe AI

Tribe AI's site footer lists offices in New York, San Francisco and Lisbon, with no street address [12]. The office regions Tribe gave in Anthropic's directory list only the United States [1]. TechCrunch called it a Brooklyn-based startup in July 2024 and reported that it builds client projects with a network of over 500 contractors [13]. So the Lisbon office comes from Tribe's own footer alone.

What each firm told Anthropic's directory about its offices

Anthropic's directory has a filter called "Office Locations (On-Site Services)". Each partner fills in its own regions, so the regions are the firm's own statement. On 21 October 2026, 140 of the 321 entries ticked at least one European region [1]. For the firms in this guide whose regions were recorded:

Ten firms in this guide were not in the directory at all, so they have no regions there.

Language

Most of the pages read for this guide are in English. Some offers and job ads are in other languages. SFEIR's forward deployed offer page is written in French [16]. Polynom's Forward Deployed AI Engineer job ad is in French. accilium advertises a "Forward Deployed Engineer with German" role in Bucharest. If your staff work in a language other than English, ask each firm which languages the engineers on your project speak at work.

Software companies are placing their own FDEs in Europe too

The firms in this guide sell engineers to any client. Companies that sell software also hire forward deployed engineers in Europe, to work with their own customers. Computing.es reported on 20 October 2026 that Salesforce had opened a five-floor office on the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid, at the same time as it announced an investment of $1,000 million in Spain over the next five years. It reported that the office will house an AI implementation team of Forward Deployed Engineers who will work directly with clients on AI agent projects [17]. What to check, whichever group a firm is in

Which group fits which buyer

If you want a firm whose code is written by AI and tested against the specification before each release, by its own account, and you can work with a team in North America, Reveneau describes that method. If you want a remote team that joins your daily meetings, Fluxon describes that offer and hires in Poland and Portugal. If your team must meet the firm's leaders in person in Europe, start with the twelve firms based in Europe, or ask the three US firms who works at their European sites.
