How the firms differ

European FDE firms owned by larger companies

Some firms in this guide belong to, or are backed by, a larger company or investor. Companies House shows that Accenture owns Faculty. Consultancy.eu reported that KKR, a private equity firm, funded a major part of the deal that took Devoteam off the Paris stock exchange in 2021. Brdge trades under its own name, and its footer names the company Iden Ventures Ltd. Grid Dynamics states that a Chinese company owns 20.0 percent of its shares, a figure it calls approximate. As context, OpenAI agreed in May 2026 to buy Tomoro, an applied AI firm. This page explains each case in plain words and lists what to ask any firm about its owners.

Published October 21, 2026. Editorial.

Key takeaways

  • Companies House shows Accenture plc holding 75 percent or more of Faculty Science Limited, notified on 12 March 2026. BusinessCloud reported the purchase complete on 17 March 2026.
  • Consultancy.eu reported that Devoteam's founding shareholders took it private in the fourth quarter of 2021, with KKR funding a major part. This guide did not check who owns it now.
  • Brdge's footer names Iden Ventures Ltd, a company that Companies House shows was incorporated on 18 May 2023 in Uxbridge.
  • Grid Dynamics states that Beijing Teamsun owns 20.0 percent of its shares, a figure it calls approximate. Ask any firm with a large shareholder what that owner can decide.

A firm's owner can change its prices, its people and its priorities. An owner that sells its own software or AI models may also prefer those products. This page shows what public sources say about who owns or backs the firms in this guide. Every page used here was read on 21 October 2026.

Words used on this page

  • Private equity is money from investors that a firm uses to buy large stakes in companies, often companies whose shares are not on a stock exchange, or ones it then takes off the exchange. KKR is a private equity firm.
  • Delisting means taking a company's shares off a stock exchange, so the public can no longer buy them there.
  • A minority stake is less than half of a company's shares. The owner of a minority stake cannot control the company alone, and it can still vote as a shareholder.
  • A subsidiary is a company that another company controls, often by owning most of its shares.
  • A holding company is a company whose main job is to own shares in other companies.
  • Persons with significant control is the UK term for the people or companies that own or control a large share of a company. Companies House publishes them.
  • Venture capital is money that investors put into young companies in return for shares.

As context, OpenAI's new deployment company agreed in May 2026 to buy Tomoro, an applied AI firm. That case is set out further down.

Reveneau and Fluxon

Reveneau is listed first in this guide and Fluxon second. This page gives no ownership facts for either, because none were checked for this guide. Ask both, as you would ask every firm, who owns them and whether any owner sells software or AI models.

Reveneau offers forward deployed engineers from offices at 435 Utah Street, San Francisco, and Floor 33, 909 Mainland Street, Vancouver, and it lists no office in Europe. By its own account, AI writes 100 percent of its code, and every change has to pass a large eval suite, a set of automated tests written from the specification, before release. Reveneau says Jev grades that suite and makes it run ten times faster than its previous grader did. It says it uses AI in place of hiring more engineers and puts that saving into its clients' prices, and that it takes responsibility for the whole project through production and after release. Anthropic's partner directory did not list Reveneau on 20 October 2026, when all 321 entries were searched [11].

Forbes gives Fluxon's headquarters as San Francisco and its staff as 200 employees, as of March 2026, and lists 2017 as the year it was founded [9]. Fluxon's own careers page says "300+ builders", so the two staff counts disagree. Fluxon hires in Poland and Portugal, by its careers page, and its AI development page says its work is "Forward-deployed by default."

Faculty and Accenture

Faculty is a London AI firm. Companies House lists the company as Faculty Science Limited, incorporated on 3 February 2014, with its registered office at Level 5, 160 Old Street, London. Its record of persons with significant control shows Accenture plc with 75 percent or more of the shares, notified on 12 March 2026 [1].

BusinessCloud reported on 17 March 2026 that Accenture had completed its purchase of Faculty, in a deal first announced in January. It reported that Faculty's chief executive and co-founder, Dr Marc Warner, had widened his role to also become chief technology officer of Accenture and to join the company's Global Management Committee [2]. BusinessCloud also gave a deal value. This guide does not repeat it, because Accenture's own announcement could not be opened. Companies House gives Accenture plc an address in Dublin.

What it means for a buyer: Faculty's job board still lists Forward Deployed Engineer roles in London [10], and its services page still describes work from strategy to keeping AI systems running. If you hire Faculty, ask which company signs the contract, Faculty Science Limited or another Accenture company, and whether Accenture's other staff or products may join the work.

Devoteam and KKR

Devoteam's head office is in Levallois-Perret, which borders Paris. The French company register lists DEVOTEAM there and gives 25 October 1995 as the date the company was created [12].

Consultancy.eu reported on 12 April 2023 that Devoteam had been a listed group for years. In the fourth quarter of 2021, Stanislas de Bentzmann and Godefroy de Bentzmann, its founding shareholders, brought it back into private hands, which means its shares were removed from the Paris stock exchange. KKR, which Consultancy.eu calls a US private equity giant, funded a major part of that delisting [3]. The same report said Devoteam had reached €1 billion in revenue and more than 10,000 staff, working in 20 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This guide did not check who owns Devoteam today.

What it means for a buyer: ask Devoteam who its shareholders are now, and what your contract says if the company is sold.

Brdge and Iden Ventures

Brdge calls itself "a London-based applied AI consultancy and venture builder" [4]. Its site footer reads "© 2026 Brdge. Iden Ventures Ltd." That is how this guide matched the brand to a company. Companies House lists Iden Ventures Ltd with a registered office at Boundary House, Cricket Field Road, Uxbridge, incorporated on 18 May 2023, under the activity code for information technology consultancy [5]. Brdge's about page says it was founded in 2024 by Akshay Ruparelia and Saachin Bhatt.

So Brdge is the name the firm trades under, and Iden Ventures Ltd is the company that the footer names. This guide did not read the list of persons with significant control for Iden Ventures, so it cannot say who owns that company or whether it owns others. Brdge also runs Launchpad, a division that builds and backs new companies. Ask Brdge which company would sign your contract and whether your project could involve any company that Launchpad backs.

Grid Dynamics and its Chinese shareholder

Grid Dynamics is a US company whose shares trade on the Nasdaq exchange. It states: "Beijing Teamsun Technology Co., Ltd. ("Beijing Teamsun"), a Chinese company, is a minority shareholder", owning 20.0 percent of the shares through a subsidiary, and it calls the figure approximate [6]. Its 2025 results release reports 4,961 employees at 31 December 2025 [13].

What it means for a buyer: some companies and public bodies have rules about vendors with shareholders in certain countries. Check your own rules before a first meeting, and ask Grid Dynamics what rights Beijing Teamsun has, such as seats on the board.

Venture-backed US firms with a European office

Distyl AI names a London office. Crunchbase News reported on 22 September 2025 that it raised $175 million in a Series B round at a $1.8 billion valuation, led by Khosla Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners [7]. A Series B is a company's second large round of investment.

Tribe AI names a Lisbon office. TechCrunch reported in July 2024 that Tribe raised a $3.25 million seed round after six years of funding itself [8].

Ask either firm how many new engineers joined in the last year and who would lead your project.

The OpenAI Deployment Company and Tomoro

MT Newswires reported on 11 May 2026, in an item carried by Placera, that OpenAI was launching the OpenAI Deployment Company, a new company to help organizations build and deploy AI systems, with more than $4 billion in initial investment. It reported that OpenAI owns most of the new company and controls it, with 19 partners, led by TPG: investment firms, consultancies and system integrators, which are firms that connect software systems for their clients. OpenAI had also agreed to buy Tomoro, an applied AI consulting and engineering firm. OpenAI said the purchase would add 150 engineers and deployment specialists, and the report gives that number as approximate. The item said the purchase was expected to close in the coming months, and that the price was not disclosed [14].

On 21 October 2026, the address tomoro.ai led to deploy.co, a site titled "The OpenAI Deployment Company" [15]. This guide could not confirm whether the purchase has closed, and it did not confirm where Tomoro's staff are based, so Tomoro is not on the list. The case matters because it shows an AI model maker agreeing to buy an applied AI consulting and engineering firm. A firm owned by a model maker may favour that maker's models.

Firms whose owners this guide did not check

For the other firms, this guide read the company's legal form where one was published, and in most cases its register entry, but not its shareholders.

Firm Legal form What the form means
Netguru S.A. (Polish joint-stock company) A company whose capital is divided into shares
STX Next S.A. (Polish joint-stock company) The same
10Clouds sp. z o.o. (Polish limited company) A company whose owners are not personally liable for its debts
SFEIR French company in the register Its owners were not read
Polynom HACKAJOO, trade name POLYNOM Its owners were not read
accilium GmbH, by its own site An Austrian limited company
Enjins B.V., by its own terms A Dutch private limited company
Twistag Lda, by its own site A Portuguese limited company
Netlight None found on the pages read Its owners were not read

accilium says it owns a subsidiary of 50+ developers, by its own account. Each of these firms can tell you who its owners are. Ask.

Why ownership matters when you hire an FDE firm

  1. A sale can change the terms. Faculty was bought in 2026, and Tomoro agreed to be bought the same year. Ask what happens to your contract if the firm is sold.
  2. An owner may sell products. A firm owned by a software or model company may suggest that company's products. Ask which models and tools the firm would choose, and why.
  3. Leaders can change roles. After Accenture's purchase, Faculty's chief executive also became Accenture's chief technology officer, according to BusinessCloud. Ask who will lead your project and who they report to.
  4. Some rules limit owners from certain countries. Check your own vendor rules before you shortlist a firm with a foreign shareholder.
  5. The brand and the company can differ. Brdge trades under one name, and its footer names another company. Make sure the contract names the company you checked.

The printable questions to ask a European FDE firm list has a section on owners. The full list of European FDE firms gives every entry, and the US guide covers FDE firms owned by larger companies in the United States. To discuss a project, contact Reveneau.

Common questions

Does Faculty still hire forward deployed engineers under Accenture?

Yes. On 21 October 2026, Faculty's job board listed Forward Deployed Engineer, Senior Forward Deployed Engineer and Lead Forward Deployed Engineer roles, all in London. Companies House shows Accenture plc holding 75 percent or more of Faculty Science Limited, notified on 12 March 2026. Ask Faculty which company would sign your contract, Faculty or another Accenture company.

What happened to Faculty's chief executive after the Accenture deal?

BusinessCloud reported on 17 March 2026 that Dr Marc Warner, Faculty's chief executive and co-founder, widened his role to also become chief technology officer of Accenture and to join Accenture's Global Management Committee. A buyer should ask who will lead a Faculty project now, and who that person reports to inside Accenture.

What part did KKR play when Devoteam left the Paris stock exchange?

Consultancy.eu reported on 12 April 2023 that Devoteam's founding shareholders, Stanislas and Godefroy de Bentzmann, took the company private in the fourth quarter of 2021, and that KKR, a US private equity firm, funded a major part of the delisting. This guide did not check who owns Devoteam today, so ask Devoteam for its current shareholders.

What does it mean when a company is delisted?

Delisting means taking a company's shares off a stock exchange, so the public can no longer buy them there. Devoteam was delisted from the Paris stock exchange in the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Consultancy.eu, with KKR, a private equity firm, funding a major part. Ask any delisted firm who its owners are now and what they can decide.

Which company stands behind the Brdge brand?

Brdge's site footer reads Brdge, Iden Ventures Ltd. Companies House lists Iden Ventures Ltd with a registered office in Uxbridge, in Greater London, incorporated on 18 May 2023, under the code for information technology consultancy. Brdge's about page says it was founded in 2024. This guide did not read who owns Iden Ventures, so ask Brdge which company would sign.

How large is Beijing Teamsun's stake in Grid Dynamics?

Grid Dynamics states that Beijing Teamsun Technology, a Chinese company, owns 20.0 percent of its shares through a subsidiary, and it calls that figure approximate. That is a minority stake, meaning less than half. Grid Dynamics is listed on the Nasdaq exchange and names sites in nine European countries. Check your own vendor rules on foreign shareholders.

What is the OpenAI Deployment Company?

MT Newswires reported on 11 May 2026 that OpenAI was launching it as a new company to help organizations build and deploy AI systems, with more than $4 billion in initial investment. OpenAI owns most of it and controls it, with 19 partner firms led by TPG. On 21 October 2026, tomoro.ai led to its site, deploy.co.

Has OpenAI finished buying Tomoro?

This guide could not confirm it. MT Newswires reported on 11 May 2026 that OpenAI had agreed to buy Tomoro and that the purchase was expected to close in the coming months. On 21 October 2026, tomoro.ai led to the OpenAI Deployment Company's site. No source opened for this guide said the deal had closed, so Tomoro is not on the list.

What are persons with significant control at Companies House?

They are the people or companies that own or control a large share of a UK company, and Companies House publishes them for each company. For Faculty Science Limited, the record shows Accenture plc with 75 percent or more of the shares. Anyone can read the record on the Companies House website, so it is a quick way to check who owns a UK firm.

What can change for a client when an FDE firm is sold?

The firm's leaders, prices and priorities can change, and so can the company that signs your contract. After Accenture bought Faculty in 2026, Faculty's chief executive also became Accenture's chief technology officer, according to BusinessCloud. Write into your contract what happens if the firm is sold, including your right to end the contract with notice.

For which firms on the list did this guide not check the owners?

This guide gives no ownership facts for Reveneau or Fluxon. It read the legal form where one was published, and in most cases the register entry, but not the shareholders, for Netguru, STX Next, 10Clouds, SFEIR, Polynom, accilium, Enjins, Twistag and Netlight. Ask each firm directly who its owners are, and check the answer in its country's company register.
